Inspirational Indian Improv
by Stanley on Apr.25, 2009, under Theater
The cast of The Great Bollywood Puppet Extravaganza was invited to do a full length performance at this year’s Chicago Improv Festival. Festival Producer Jonathan Pitts gave us a two hour slot at the Gorilla Tango Theater, and we had a really good house, who really seemed to enjoy the show!
We saw a lot of really good Improv, and hobnobbed with some of the Improv greats like Mick Napier and MadTV’s Ike Barinholtz. The after festival Karaoke party was AMAZINGLY fun.
George and I also got to spend some time walking around Chicago… unfortunately the Museum of Broadcast Communication hadn’t quite reopened in their new facilities… I was hoping to get to visit with Charlie McCarthy. Maybe next time!
We did, however, get the chance to swing by the Second City for a photo op.
The history that’s happened there… wow.
Anyway, it was an absolutely fantastic trip, and the opportunity to play with the folks from Un-Scripted again made it that much better.
Salutations,
Stanley
