Breaks Bring Bounteous Bonuses
by Stanley on Sep.08, 2010, under Photos, Video
We took a break from Pre-Production on Galaxy Scouts over Labor Day weekend to shoot a music video for a parody that Clay wrote. I can’t tell you want it is just yet, but here’s a quick screen capture that Linda snuck to me from the control room at the studio.
Hopefully it will be released soon!

George Speaks: Life in Pre-Production
by George on Feb.24, 2010, under George, Project Monkey Dance
Until we actually start SHOOTING regularly, I’m also serving as a Production Assistant (we call them PA’s in The Biz).
Today I got to spend some time with Linda, our Technical Director and special effects wizard.
We needed to get some green screen footage to test some of the effects and I got to be the guinea pig. Linda let me play on one of the editing systems while she went to lunch, so I had a little fun with an image from NASA.
My skills aren’t quite as good as Linda’s yet, but I’m hoping she takes me under her wing once we’re into full on production.
Recently Redacted Revelations
by Stanley on Jan.12, 2010, under Project Monkey Dance
So here are some things about “Project Monkey Dance” that I *CAN* reveal to you:
- It will be a serialized web series
- Episodes will be 5 to 8 minutes long
- Each story arc will be 5 episodes long
- There will be 12 episodes in a season, leaving two “connector” episodes
- It will be Science Fiction
- I will be in the starring role
Clay has taken over as head writer since we lost Aaron Sorkin, and I think he’s doing a really good job outlining the first story arc.
[ed note: I’m not sure we ever actually HAD Aaron Sorkin – George]
I just got a copy of draft three of episode one the other day, and was reading it on my iPhone when I accidentally took a screen shot of it. I asked Clay if it would be okay to post the screenshot of the page and he agreed on the condition that I redact a few things before doing so. And so….
Set designs, costume designs and scripts are flying around the offices these days, and hopefully I’ll be able to share more about it with you, soon.
Celebrating,
Stanley
